Is it me or are you all a bit silent lately huh? Time to shake things up with a small meme! When I logged on today I thought about all the things I have to do when I first log on. It's my little routine. I thought I'd share it with you and I hope you will all share your little routines with me too!
The first thing I always do when I log on is to check the visitors list on my land. I've talked about the importance of the privacy of my home in the past and I know not everyone agrees with me on this. Anyway I always check the visitors list, if a name that I don't know comes up too often I will ban them. The reason I'm doing this is because a while ago I learned that a couple was "living" in my house when I wasn't on and I don't like that at all.
Once I've checked the security orb I always sit down. Why? I don't know. It's not like my avatar gets tired of standing up. It's just a reflex, I need to sit down before dealing with the rest of my routine.
The third thing I will do is check my notices, but I guess you all do that. I will sort them while looking for interesting things to blog on BC. By the way, is it me or did most of the good shops leave FashCon? It's really rare when I get worthwhile notices from FashCon anymore.
After going through my notices I will usually change my outfit. When I first started SL I used to change clothes two or three times a day. Now I usually spend five minutes when I first log on deciding what clothes, accessories and hair to wear for the day, make an outfit folder (so I can get nikkid quickly!) and I don't change again after that. Unless of course I'm tped by a friend somewhere in that case I like to surprise them a bit!
The last thing I'll do before getting started with my "slday" is clean up. In case you haven't noticed I am totally anal when it comes to inventory. I need to have a clean inventory, that means no folder idling around, no useless landmarks, no forgotten notecards, no objects laying around in the objects folder and absolutely no contacts cards I always delete those! Why do we need these anyway? Once your friend is in your friends list what's the point of having his or her card?
So there you have it! My little SL routine. Of course after that there is my whole blogs, facebook, mails, plurk and you tube routine but that is another story! From time to time I add one thing or another to my routine but that's basically it!

P.S. What do you do with your outfit folders when you are done with the day or when you change? Do you keep all of your outfit folders? or do you empty them out (putting things back) and delete them?
When I'm done with the day I make sure that all the parts of the outfit are copy. If they aren't I put them back in their place. Then I delete the outfit :)

First thing I do, is make sure I am home, because I tend to forget to log in at home :-)
Secondly I check who is online & start iming if I need to clear up some workstuff or if my partner is on.
Then clear all messages, gifts, ims & compare against email to see if i missed any. When my screen is cleared I check the visitors list of my house since two idiots had sex in my house once & now keep coming back for more!
After that I change my outfit & hit the shops/work/my partner or watch myself dancing in my house.
Yeah, my SLife is pretty exiting!
I think that I need to start some kind of routine too. all I do is click yes/no on a bunch of notecards and stuff. I need to clear visitor logs and stuff regularly.
